Child Therapy

One of our most commonly asked questions as clinicians who work with children is can you describe therapy for children. Our talented team of experts provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our licensed child therapists understand that children express themselves differently than adults. Using techniques like play therapy, art, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, we help children make sense of big emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy ways to cope with life’s challenges. Sometimes it may look like game play, silly songs or stories, but all tailored to teach coping skills to a client and aid in the development of emotional vocabulary.

We commonly work with children experiencing:

  • Anxiety or worries

  • Behavioral difficulties

  • ADHD and focus issues

  • Family changes (divorce, loss, new siblings)

  • School and social struggles

  • Low self-esteem or confidence

We partner closely with caregivers to create a collaborative, supportive treatment plan ensuring progress continues at home and in school. Our goal is to help children feel heard, empowered, and emotionally secure as they grow.

We are happy to explore in further detail if you'd like to learn more about us at Social Sense Palm Beach, a founding member of the South Florida Mental Heath Network.
